I completely agree with John. it isn't far that us here in the highlands of scotland are getting left behind with terrible internet speeds. my buisness is run of the internet 100% i require speeds that are very fast. I have several servers hosted all over the world that i need to acess. These servers are on 100MB lines but if i can only access them with a terrible 5mb connections! and we don't even have 1mb!

Dear Mr Ferguson,

I read with interest your comments posted on 16th March 2010 last year about fuel pricing and how if The Conservative Party where to be elected how you would fight the cause to help The Highland Community to reduce fuel pricing. I would hope then you will read my comments and investigate the outrageous profiteering that is taking place with the Domestic Heating Oil Suppliers. I purchased oil in November at 49.5p per ltr plus vat, I have now been quoted .67p plus vat less than 2 months later, a 26% increase! I ask you to call for an Ombudsman for Domestic Heating Oil Supply as these prices need to be stabalised. With the recent severe winter weather and the need to keep our homes warm I feel we are being held to ransom and there is no justification for a 26% price increase within a 6 week period. This is simply a case of the oil suppliers profiteering out of peoples misery. The Conservative Government need to take steps to help maintain a stablised price system in the UK and put a stop to this highway robbery! The Conservative Government also need to look at removing the 5% vat on heating. I was always led to believe that vat was only added to luxury items - is it a luxury then to heat your home? We need your help as you promised in March last year - actions speak louder than words.

Yours faithfully,

Jeanette Beattie

Interesting post, The AA's explanation is very generic, an increase is inevitable given the current climate but surely not as high as this? Tensions are getting very high. Hope something can be resolved soon. Can't go on like this

Once a blast furnace shuts down it costs 10s of millions to start up again. Yes Redcar is doomed. The local MP, Vera Baird, should have done more to help save it but she was too busy pushing her radical feminist agenda.

It's a pretty simple distinction between local contests and the election nationally. Three-way marginal seats are few and far between. In most constituencies, voting for anyone other than the top two parties locally is a wasted vote in terms of affecting the outcome. (It's a deeply undesirable situation that disenfranchises millions, and not one Conservatives would change. )

Nationally, it's quite clear following the debate that three parties are major players, and the possibility of a balanced parliament means that extra Lib Dem MPs will lead to a higher probability of extra Lib Dem influence and the implementation of more Lib Dem policies.

Any financial loading, on people, firms or the companies, results to not to the desirable conflict, and causes tearing away of a society. It is necessary to search for reserves, non-standard economic decisions. It is necessary to think whence to take money. Will be more correct. If the government will preserve a today's financial condition, but to cut down it is impossible will lead only to for opposite actions and the purposes.

Has RBF been closed for the green house emitions credits that the goverment/Tata will recieve? And Tata would not like to sell RBF to a Competitor who would use it to put pressure on Tata on the Slab/Ingots production line in the UK.
Tata engineers based in england Helped Tata in India redevelop 2 new Blast furnaces in India to make them more efficient than redcar, so what is the plan gradually close down the remainder of the Blast furnaces owned by Tata and then produce steel from India only; charging what they like and gradually taking steel production to India only taking and using our expertise and shutting down the steel Industry totally in the uk & Holland and Leaving the UK a crippled country. They will not answer any questions about the future of the Steel Industry they are looking after No1 India sod anywhere else? Is this correct only they can answer this Valuable Question but will they
